Rosenhanska Weekend Photo Course
a Sörmland experience.

This two and a half-day Photo and Camera Workshop is led by Trevor Hughes* and will provide you with the opportunity to indulge yourself in both landscape and wildlife photography at a variety of stunning locations within the unique grounds of Rosenhandska in the Sormland.
Itinerary
Day 1
You arrive after 17.00 at the Rosenhanska, your accommodation for the duration of the course, where Trevor and Jacqueline will greet you. The arrival get-together meal starts at 20.00, followed by an up-to-date programme of what is planned
for the following days. a feature film (about photography, of course).
Day 2
After breakfast (served at 08.00) we will leave behind
restrictions using ‘automatic modes’ and start learning to take full control over the camera. You will learn about the use of aperture and how that affects depth of field, shutter speed, of different lenses and composition. After lunch we will be exploring the grounds of Rosenhanska where we will put all we learnt into practice. Then, back to base and learn how best to save, organise and edit the photos in Lightroom and Photoshop. Before we go to dinner we will look at how to best use the on-board flash. This you will need, as we will be visiting a wine cellar from the 18th century. Followed by a wildlife meal in the estate dining room. (Casual dress)
Day 3
A early start to capture the morning light then back for breakfast followed by a reputation camera settings and the most important parts you have to know two open up the world of your photography style.
Early lunch followed by outdoor creative and how to shoot panoramic photos the right way. Repetition of logging and editing the images. Course closes late afternoon.

Camera Workshop
"A picture says a thousand words! Let your photos tell the message you want to convey ... "
This course is about learning and performing, from theory to practical performance under professional guidance in pleasant surroundings. Course duration and number of participants are well suited to give you an effective and educational time. Step by step you will learn to master different techniques to take a good picture with your own camera. You will gain knowledge of how you organize and import your photos to different photo editing tools such as Lightroom and Photoshop. You will also learn methods for editing so you can quickly get professional and appropriate images.
Accommodation
Throughout the workshop, you will stay in a shared double room at Torp Manor.

You will stay for two nights. The price is inclusive of accommodation, breakfast, lunch and dinner, with afternoon coffee or tea.
Meals are prepared on site and local produce is used wherever possible.
Special dietary requirements can be catered for. Extra nights before or after the course can be offered at an additional fee of 550 SEK per night per person.

We do not need to know how the computer in the camera works all we need to know is how to program it!
After 30 years of teaching and I have learned that we all learn in different ways. Some by listening, or visualey, others through practical doing it. It is my job as a teacher to make learning easy and accessible for all types of learners.
Learning new skills is not always easy, but it's one of the things that make life so enjoyable.

Course fee: 4995 SEK per person.
A deposit of 1 000 SEK per person is required to confirm a booking.
The price includes the following:
Full-board accommodation, including breakfast, lunch and dinner, with afternoon tea or coffee.
All photographic education.
Equipment:
Bring your own system camera with memory card and charged batteries and charger.
Registration:
Note that the number of places on each course will be limited to a maximum of ten to ensure that each participant has good opportunities
for photography and learning with the supervisor.

Cancellation Policy:
If cancelled more than a month before the booked course, the cancellation fee is 500 SEK
If cancelled less than one month before the booked course, the cancellation fee = deposit fee.
If we can fill the place to someone else you will get back the full amount – cancellation fee of 500 SEK.
If cancelled because of illness, death or other serious event (be accompanied with certificates) you will get back the prepayment except 500 SEK
